Author cant get my gear box back on after fitting new release bearing

so as it says, the box it ligned up to holes and i checked that nothins in the way, but i can get it the join to engine, its about half an inch away from joingin but wont go any closer!!! any ideas???

did you change the clutch plate and pressure plate aswell ?
if so they are not aligned properly !
if it was the release bearing on its own then its not seated properly either .....should just slot in no problemo

erm i had to take the clutch off to get abit of the disintegrated release bearing out.

how do you line it up properly?

try and borrow the tool or if you feel rich buy one but do use a tool for it otherwise you gonna have a sore head and no gears !

Never used one tbh. But I think the tool goes in the centre hole of the clutch and pressure plate, You then spin the nob on the end which spreads the tool out centralising and locking everything together so you can bolt it to the flywheel.

DONE IT!!!! took me 16hours from start to finnish. chuffed to bits.

just gotta charge battery and she if she works, fingers crossed!!!
