i have just got into the car to go out and the ignition barrel wont turn not even the slightest bit. whats wrong?, will i have to go to the petrol station and buy a geri can of petrol and torch the useless fucking money pit that is my car

i can move the steering wheel as in to turn the ignition but it will not turn the ignition barrel at all

try pushing the barrel in with your finger it will be sticky

allso tried that matey its not so much that thats worrying me i put my head unit in not knowing about the barrel and now theres now ignition i crnt get it back off so more than likely i will have the car broken into aswell

get a socket and extension bar and gentlly tap the ignition barrel with a hammer a couple of times and see if it will free off the ignition so that the key turns........

the face woulnt come off, usually it does without the ignition on but with the key in the barrel but it wouldnt yesterday had to take the whole head unit out.
