Author car hassle on cold start.

hello peeps. My car is a git to start when cold only when cold. If I hold the acceleration down a bit them it starts. if I don't it starts but trys to die so have to give it some acceleration. Once started it hunts. And some times has dodggy revs. But when driving after 2 mins it fine. Once car has been warm it starts fine no probs. So only cold start please help


Stuff alredy changed.

Ht leads
Plugs
All gaskets
Thermostats sensor
Put redex throgh it
New oils.
Oil filter
Lambarder sensor
Changed fuses
Brand new exhaust system
Decat

All this and still no difference lol.

HELP!

I JUST HAD THE SAME PROBLEM DUE TO SOME MUPET HUW HAD THE CAR B4 ME PUT FORD Z TEX LEADS ON IT SO IV CHANGED THEM AND THE SPARK PLUGS AND SEEMS TO B FINE NOW JUST DOUBLE CHEACK EVEYTHING IS OK ON IT AND PUT ON PROPLY IF STIL HAVEING PROBLES CHEACK STATERMOTER LET ME HOW U GET ON

Something simple like it need a new fuel filter, put it through a mojor service. Might sort it.

if i was to put it on dyno test would it come up that. cheers

Dyno will not help ,just tell you that you have a problem but you know that already, try cleaning out the TB and check the TB rubber sealing ring for splits other than that sensor fault but not shown on eml, or as said filter or tps maybe? looks like its going to take time to get to the bottom of this one.

crank sensor on its way out? giv it a wiggle wen someone else starts it, or when its running see if the revs change

My gf had a service done and they didnt attach the fuel line back on properly so when it died up a hill and stank of fuel she legged it lol. I nearly went down to the garage to grab the monkey round his throat.

Also mines been needing wet start on its plugs to stop it from having poor starts!

mine dont seem to smell of petrol or anything to. lol. its so random.

i left my car on tick over today. and i heard like a click noise when it did that the car was fine. so it must be like choke or some thing cos still git to start but when i haer a little click it all sort of goes normal. lol wierd.

crank sensor on your car is by the crank pulley on the o/s of engine

is there a coolant temp sensor on this enigne anyone no??
mines havin the same problem at the min n ive bin told to change that on mine
