When I first went out in my new SXi - I thought the foot brake was amazing. It seemed really hard and solid. Especially as my last car was an old 1984 Nova !

And my parents Astra SXi - IVe noticed the brake feels rock hard.

But I had my car on the drive this afternoon, just idling it. I decided to start pushing the brake, and it just felt really spongey and soft. Each time I did it I could hear the air go 'gush gush sgush gsuh gush...'

I thought a few days ago it didnt seem as firm and solid as it used to be. I dont know whether it is just me, where Im now used to the brakes , or what ??

Any ideas ?

most corsas have spongy brake pedals its just something to do with the master cylinder size i think, but it means you can give the brake pedal some stick without locking up.

Fit some braided hoses too. Really made a nice difference to my pedal feel.
