Hey de ho!
Got a corsa problem for all of you corsa enthusiasts.
We have a 1.2 16v corsa breeze.
The engine management light came up occasionally and we ignored it. Then one night it stayed on. Took it to the garage and it come up with the EGR valve.. That got done. Took it back as the engine management light came up again and it came back as o2 sensor.
They couldn't sort nothing, so we ingnored it again.
Now its back up. We got told by someone who works at a vauxhall garage to change the MAF ... so we did that tonight.
Now the car starts up better, but it looses its revs and dont tick over right. We took it out to try and it runs ok as it is.. but you get to a junction or lights and you dare not stop as it stalls each and everytime as there is no power what so ever on idle. I thought maybe the idle valve, we disconnected the sensor from it and made no difference.
It does kick a lot of crap out when you boot it good and proper, and smells alot like fuel.
Removed the strip and the plugs and one was really loose so we made sure that was put in solidly.. and still the same issue.
100% stuck for ideas, so thought I'd come along and ask people who know about them!
Hope someone can help!
Thanks in advance!

bad earth from the battery to the body or from the starter motor to the battery etc, had this on mine where it would work but die slowly and was just a bad earth near the alternator

Speedo works fine, as does the rev counter.
You touch the throttle though and it just revs mad, far more than it did before.

Worth a try, anyway to test without spending out on it?
