I've had these on 2 cars now, a Corsa and a Calibra and was not particularly wowed by them, even in comparison to the Nankang NSII which felt much much grippier
They were very average IMO
Your opinions on them?

my t1-rs seem fine loads of grip in the wet and a predictable 'let go' point

I have them on the 206. I like them, grippy and consistent.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I've had the T1S's and Proxies 4s and can't fault them in the dry, dead grippy and just don't let go. Different story in the wet I found though, they were terrible on the front. They're grippy when you put them on the back though.
I thought there wouldn't be any sort of difference bewtween them and Eagle F1s so wasn't too bothered to try them. But now I've got the EF1's they're brilliant in the dry and only lose about 20% of grip in the wet. I'd highly recommend them.

wow, nankang ns-II's are budget cheap crap tyres. theyre not even close to the same levels of grip as toyo's. infact a sava has better grip than a nankang. ive no idea what the hell youve been doing to toyo's to think nankangs are better.

Back to back real-world testing on a car I knew inside out. I personally thought the NS-IIs were very good all round, except for the shitty brand name.
And price has very little to do with it, after all, the Toyos you seem to like are CHEAPER than most mid-range tyres

Toyos > Nankangs tbh. I went and got two part worn tyres just so that I wasn't driving about illegaly. One was a Nankang and one was a Dunlop Sport or something. In the wet it felt like I was driving on greased up ice. And in the dry they felt like they were made of plastic.

How scientific of you, using part worns
Seriously NSII's are better, I was using a brand new set against a brand new set... and got the same feedback from my mechanic as well.
I was surprised, but I accepted the result as TBH I'm not a brand snob at all, thats a bit shallow IMO.

I had toyo p4xe or something on my corsa, and they were deadly in the wet.
Put a pair of eagle f1's on the front and what a difference there was, excellent tyres.

With 5mm of tread I'd say it wouldn't make a noticable difference to the grip levels from when they were brand new. And I wouldn't buy them brand new to test them.

i used Nangkangs this weekend for shreading onthe track, they let go alot sooner and at lower speeds than my Dunlops.....only good for a wheelbarrow is the most accurate quote i have heard about them!
