if I use a blanking plate under egr valve and leave it pluged would it still get a faulty code ???

I used the blanking plate and still got the fault code/light every so often (but not regularly like I did before).
Just change the EGR for a new one. The one we got from the local motor factory cost just £70 and solved the problem totally, its a pain to fit though but no more so than the blanking plate.

what are the benefits for blanking it off. all i hear is that it causes problems so why do people do it? :S
