thinkin ov purchasing sum 17" team dynamics torando wheels, but want my car lowered by about 40mm aswell, but i dont have a clue how to fit the springs!!!! is it an easy job or best off leavin it to sum one who knows wot there doing ????
please help its needed !! cheers

as long as u got all the tools u need and follow the haynes manual u will be fine took me half a day to do my shocks and springs

quite straight forward mate like speed 6 ses tho as long as u got all the tools. u'll need coil spring compressors for the fronts

for just springs .........
rears -
all ya need is a 18mm socket and rachet - p1ss easy
fronts -
2x 13mm nuts at top of strut
2x 17mm nut and bolt at bottom
remove shock and spring complete - - compress spring and undo top nut (very hard - easy with a windy gun (compressed air gun))
if doing it yaself and cant do fronts - remove the struts, and take to a garage and they will swap the springs over for a lot cheaper than if ya just take car to them

coil spring compressors i think, halfords sell them, they were 20quid when i got mine.

those things are fookin dangerous though, be careful when using one, ive seen a spring fly out of one once, knocked a couple of bricks out of a wall

Partially incorrect.
13mm nuts on the top strut, 18mm on bottom nut and bolts.
if your gonna do the fronts yourself, loosen the top mount main bolt, half a turn only when the strut is still on the car as its a bitch to get off when the strut is wobbling about all over the place.
