Went and picked up my new spax psx suspension for my corsa and am planning on fitting it over the next few days, although i am a little confused on some bits:

1: When putting the damper and spring together, do i pull out the strut from within the damper, place the spring in place, and bolt it down ( with some original parts) with the aid of the spring compressors to pull the spring down enough to do up the strut nuts? Cos i have pulled the strut out as far as i can and it doesnt seem to go that far!

2: On the rear adjustable dampers, how do i know what position the damper settings are at so i can get both back ones the same?

Please help as i have had a look and am a bit stumped!!

Cheers!

ye, but i wanted to know, do you use the spring clamps to retract the spring enough, cos it doesnt seem as though the shock will come out the whole length of the spring?!

right remove shocker assembly as one. itll come off the chasis with the spring coiled in the strut. clamp spring right the way down and removre top pin where mount is. then slowly release clamp spring will come off then remove shocker insert and fit new one. reverse this process when putting new springs on. when u get all the stuff off ull c

ok cheers, so just to check, i use the the spring compressors when assembling the new springs and dampers to get it to all fit together?

In the max power haynes manual, it says the is one part of the top assembly you can bin, but that is for coilovers, so i keep it ye?

un bolt the shocker from the hub at the bottom

unbolt it from the car at the top

take it out on the ground

use yer spring compressors to comprees the spring so there is no pressure on the cap at the top of the shocker

once done take cap off then take spring off

then put new spring on (u may need to compress it with yer spring compressors to get the cap back on)
