Have a film in mkv format but that doesn't play on the PS3.

What free software is good to use or can i burn it straight to DVD format?

program called mkv2vob works great seemed to play most of the stuff ive thrown at it

I assume mkv2vob is straight to DVD

and GotSent will change to .mpg so you can stream it (720p will be fine on normal wifi, 1080p will need an N network tho)

no mkv2vob just converts the file into a new container TS i think as standard and splits it into 4gb files so keeps the same quality pretty much...
