We're staying in a rented flat at the moment while we get an extension on our house and need contents insurance for 6 months.

Does anyone know if any companies do 6 month or just monthly policies?

Endsleigh. You have to pay 2 months up front as a deposit then monthly for the rest. Just cancel it after 6 months.
