What File type does a movie have to be for me to play it off my usb on my playstation 3?
anybody help me out
plus does anybody know of any good converters for said file type?

I use GotSent, converts from .mkv to mpeg4 .mpg files

It should play MPGs and AVIs. If it doesn't work, just press triangle and show all files. It should have a list of the files on the memory card which you should be able to play.

plays avi's and mpg as welshdan says normally no problems at all. most torrent downloads work. ive only ever found a couple that wont play.

MKVtoVOB is good free software as most bluray rips are encoded in .mkv, can't fault it.
