hay peeps, basicaly i have been having issues with 3rd gear on my corsa for a while aka more like 3 years since i bought it and finaly am getting pissed off with ti.
basicaly if you drive the thing like a granny and change gear's at about 2k then there is no problem still a little stiff with getting into 3rd but goes in all ok.
now the problem arises when you are driving the car hard i.e. trying to change gear above 3k it really dont like you.. grinds its tits off and eventually after several peddle pumps (shouldn't make any difference because its a cable opperated clutch but hay ho) and shoving it like your trying to push a arab off a dam it finaly goes into gear..
now the linkage is set up fine made sure of that, and there isnt any play in the bearings on the linkage, the clutch pedal is ace and the bitting point is half way up on the pedal travel,
anyone goet any sugestions on what ity could be?
p.s. i have drained the gear oil when i bought the car and there were filings in the oil and metalic black sludge (expect that to be found in any old car tbh)
