i want to get rid of the rub strips but darent take them off incase the paintwork behind them is crap, So thinking of just painting them same colour as car? How easy would this be would they be easy enough just to paint over?

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I also don't want to remove them.

I painted mine its easy, just make sure you use plastic primer
