Hi all,

Having now settled into my new house with a decent garden and having had both a decent tropical/marine tank I am now tempted to build a pond in my garden with some nice little Koi fish etc.

The problem is I don't know a great deal about pond's, can I use my marine filter/uv light, do I actually need one?

Also what's the best way on going about actually building a pond in the garden, is it best to go the liner route or actually purchase one of them plastic bases and enter into the earth?

Thanks guys any help is appreciated and also pics would be great.

Search for drunkenfools posts in here, think he has posted up 3 or 4 pond builds he has done.

I did actually see his 1st attempt earlier from 2006 which has given me some fantastic ideas and the route I think I will go to be fair.

I just wondered if anyone else has any tips/pics
