Hey, couple of months back i killed my car by basically drowning it in a mini lake; now i still have the car sitting on my drive and in two minds weather to scrap the car and keep the engine or just get rid of the whole lot.
Basically two conrods snapped inside the engine; so just curious does anyone know if by snapping them i could of done some serious damage to the block else where?

well the idea is to either fix up this engine or the 1.8 i have in a current corsa but i figured seen as the engine is poop i might aswell take a look.
Well took the head of today and the pistons made contact with the valves so a lot of work but then if i was to do the work to the xe1 id still be replacing parts inside the engine and spending a similar price.
So the question is a killer 1.6 or a 1.8
