Hey guys i'm new to Corsa's being a Golf owner before it's like a whole new world to me.

I have looked at a few and been put off by the bodywork condition immediately, dents in almost every panel rust everywhere etc but one has stood out to me today, no obvious dents just a patch of rust on the boot, so i'm quite happy with the condition and it drives well, just wanted to know of anything obvious engine wise to look out for as the reason I have sold my Golf is because of problem after problem.

It's a 2000 (V) reg plate with 92k on the clock, standard other than an aftermarket backbox.

It seemed to smoke a little when it was turned on but calmed down later on maybe this is because it has been stood for some time.

Any advice would be helpful

Thanks
Dominic

wait on dude £1500 is a masive amout for that. 6 months ago i paid £1200 for a 1.6 sport with just under 70k on the clock.

things ive found that go are the egr valve, electric windows. make shure you check the engine light comes on when you turn on the car then goes off as ive nown people take out the engine management light to hide problems.
