my x16xe corsa sport went on a rolling road 2 day. Came out wiv 88bhp 160lbft :-(
i got a vx 16v performance inlet, pipercross filter and peco back box, not much i know.
The mechanic said its over fuelin and that the lamba sensor can't cope wiv the inlet being so gud lol
any 1 else come across this problem ?

have you typed that torque figure right?
If so, are you sure a diesel engine hasn't snuck in?

If its the case the lambda can't cope then whats the fix, a new lambda?

i'll try get the graph up 2 moro. Its a really wierd 1 also. I can get a programmabl/adjustable lamba so gona get 1 of them and sort out the exhaust decat and manifold 2 c if that flows it better :-)

wasting your money.
sounds like your lossing lots of compression or a head gasket has gone.

Would be interesting to see what mine can get, x16xe - viper - lexmaul - decat- 2 1/4" system.
It beats a 110bhp c2 gt easily

Tbh it sounds like the engine is on its last legs if your saying its running ok, as what you just said is 12bhp down on standard and thats with the other mods right? You given it a good service recently? My 14xe run like shit and was feeling gutles them i realised i didn't have any oil in the bugger now its topped up it drives and pulls far better.. Think it could en with a service

Lots of people do the inlet mod on here and have no problems or need to upgrade other stuff. Cant see it being that tbh.

sounds like you hav been to a.b. garage, they are great lads but there rollers show very high torque, everyone ive seen go there gets nearly twice the torque to bhp
but the bhp figure is usually acurrate
not knockin the lads in anyway though

but the torque figure is related to the bhp number so if the torque is high then the bhp cant be right?

lee - you obv dont know why its actually as high as it is if he's been to a.b
the gearbox is a torque mulityplier and a.b's results are always at the wheels never at the flywheel, there is no possible way to ever get an accurate flywheel figure. gearboxs, oil, tyre sizes, pressures etc all affect power/torque figures. and power at the wheels is all that matters.
if dafs 88bhp is from a.b. garage then add about 15% on to it.

i can promise there better than any set of rollers you will go too. they map some very quick reputable cars from all over the country in the rallying/autograss side, most of the mid/n.wales rally lads use them, lads from scotland, hereford, b/ham way etc use them for there kit cars, rally cars,, track cars, turbo'd quads, and some mega mega money 1920/30's bentleys worth over 500K. etc. the power figures are all spot on, its the way the torque is measured and fact they use 3rd gear to do the mapping that gives the torque to seem alot higher than it should or what you would think it makes at the flywheel...not after its been multiplied through the gearbox!
i know the JRE engine in my mates mk2 scort made 225bhp @wheels in the car he bought the engine from somewhere in hereford i think, my mates had the car when he fitted the engine, made only 221@wheels, but the differance after they played with the mapping was mega.
