Looking to get an Extractor for over the cooker as when ever we cook, the smoke alarms go off, Even though nothing is burning.
Cant have one that vents to the outside as its an internal wall, and the only wall that is external has the door in and not alot of space around it.
Would be looking at the carbon filtered ones. Whats the cheapest and best value for money ones to go for, Not looking for anything fancy as the kitchen isn't the best and funds wont allow us to get a new fitted one.

Would it not be cheaper to replace the smoke detector with a heat detector?
Shouldn't really have a smoke detector in the kitchen as they're a total pain in the arse

You should be able to get the charcoal filter for any cooker hood.
Its usually an option, either vent outside or charcoal filter.

Try replacing the smoke alarm unit then. If its working correctly it definately shouldn't be going off. Will be far cheaper than fitting an extractor for sure.
