i've got a usb cable for vagcom so I can read fault codes on my vw golf.
as i've upgraded to windows 7 the usb is no longer compatable is there anyway I can get the usb to run on a compatability mode like you can with programs? so that the usb cable would run on compatability mode for windows 98 or something?

If it's ultimate and his processor supports it 7 can run programs in what's basically an xp install inside 7.
It will be the ftdi drivers though, I can't remember if I've had my old lead working on 7 but I think I have.

If it doesnt work and you have Professional or Ultimate, download Windows XP Mode

done that last night mate but apparentyl it cant run on my laptop as it doesnt assist virtual hardware or something along them lines
