my 2.0 16v corsa's temp gauge creeps up towards 100 when in traffic, head gasket has been checked and is apparently fine, it's got (I think) a 1.2 corsa radiator and a slim line fan, and I can keep the temp down by turning on the heater. I've read somewhere a vauxhall combo radiator is a bit bigger, is fitting one of them a good idea or should I just put a more powerful fan on? Or maybe fit an additional fan? Any suggestions appreciated

wire up your fan so you can switch it on when your temp gets high

sorry forgot to mention fan cuts in ok, just doesn't seem up to the job of keeping engine cool, that's why I'm thinking a bigger rad might be the answer.

Yeah I'll probs try just adding an extra fan first, if that doesn't work would a combo rad to the job do you think? If not, what rad would you suggest?

sport aircon radiator will involve you changing the top radiator hose as the radiators longer, diesal raditor hoses go in at totally different points so would be a pain in the arse, sandard radiator with 2 7" fans will do the job, saying that ive always used the standard corsa fan and never had any issues

so you reckon leave the rad as it is and get two 7" fans? I like the sound of that nice and easy
