Does anybody have a tip on how to get to thee 4 torx bolts holding it to the throttlee body? I can probably get to two of the but one i and even think how to go about getting to. What a shit design. Its having an x16xe inlet system when it goes back together. Should I just snap the plastic?

Eh?? Lol. Have you got Torx bit sockets?

Yes got a torx set. I can get to two of the bolts, one maybe with a bit of poking about but there isnt a chance I'm getting to the other

battery tray is on one side and stops you getting a ratchet in there, idle controll valve bracket is on the otherside and stops you getting anything in there and the other one is just covered by everything

Get at em from underneath or don't you have the facility to do so? ICV bracket comes off dont it?

Tbh mate the job you are trying to do isnt really one for the driveway. All cars can't be designed in a manner to suit any workshop environment - it's just the way it is I'm afraid.

Im trying to get the head off. Done a bit of research and aparantly the starter motor has to come off to enable access from underneath to get to the bolts. Only just put a new starter motor on the other day. I think i may just give up

i toook the head off my x16xe and stirped the engine to bits and rebuilt it and i would recomend not even attempting to take the head off with the engine in the car. it took me a full weekend to get it apart without breaking anything.
yes im no mechanic but that was even with the help of a haynes manual.
borrow an engine crain if you can and take the whole engine out and take the head off out of the car it will take half the time.
also if you take out the valves then you will need to grind them in. well i did anyway. a peice of rubber pipe is best and addapt it to go in the end of a screwdriver drill. takes ages by hand.

coolant bottle out,
all bracketry off
easy to get to then.
and removing the engine to just remove the head.................. lol
yes it makes your life a lot lot easyer but it is not nessasery and can be done with relative ease with the engine in the car, and can be done on the drive way.

yes i know i did mine in the car on the driveway lol. the 2 hardest bits were the t.b and the cables that go through the inlet and down the back of the block. u need to get under the car and make shure u get all the tie wraps as there is shed loads of them. o and remember where all the vacume pipes go or it will run poo afterwards. do what i did. rip it apart yourself, do all the work to the head and block yourself then pay jenkosport to help put it back together for you lol. nice one again jenko if your reading this.

mine had slots on the ends facing you you I could easily undo them with a small screwdriver

Absolute ball ache on the C16XE.
Get the X16XE lower inlet and throttle body on it and a power box ASAP
