Was drilling out a bolt, started with a 2mm drill bit. Was most of the way through and then stupidly something made me jump and the bit snapped in the hole.
Is there a different type of drill bit that will drill through it? It's just a cheap normal drill bit that has snapped off.

Is the bolt inset? Will monkey pliers not help you twist it out? What we do sometimes is get a mini hacksaw and cut a straight side into it, so you can get a flat head screwdriver on it and twist it out. Alternatively, spur point drill bit?

Always a sod when this happens where is the bolt located, drilling into a broken drill bit will be a pain been there done that no easy answer you will have to try other ways to remove it can you heat it up and get grips on it.

I'd try a widia tipped drill if there's no way of removing it. Where's the bolt located?

Is the drill bit tight in the hole? I had a similar problem, hit the bolt a few times with a hammer then pulled the remaining part of the drillbit with a strong magnet.

Done it with a dremel, then drilled and re-tapped the hole.
