Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help or shed some light on a problem my brother has with his corsa. Its a W Reg 1.4 16v sport. It limits out at 5000 RPM and not what it would normally limit at which i think is around 6700 ish? (Give or take abit). The car feels like as if something is stopping it and holding it back. It feels like it doesnt want to go and is extremely sluggish if u get me. It drive's fine at lower speeds but the problem comes when coming onto a bypass when you need to put your foot down to come on.
The car has had a service, new plugs, leads etc and Ive checked all breather pipes as i have been told that sometimes this can make engines run lumpy and make them restricted? but they are all fine. Its also been on the diagnostic machine but nothing came up? Car was running fine and was quite nippy for what it was until this problem occured.
Any help or advice as to what it could be would be great

Hi, mine did this and it ended up being the knock sensor. this is located just above the starter motor, you can get to it by laying on the floor and looking up the back of the block
