My cars booked in for a compression check on Monday cos I'm convinced my head gaskets gone. Symptoms are sluggish power (well more than ususal), creamy substance under oil filler cap, water gone brown (but not dropping) and a running water sound on first start up.
So can anyone tell me how much this replacement is and how long it will take? The compressioin check is already costing me £30 +VAT but the service clerk at Vauxhall couldn't give me price on the gasket - the monkey.
Cheers!

Looking at about 4 hours labour @ about £40p/h plus around £70 in parts I guess. Make sure they fit a new cam belt! Maybe worth changing your water pump and that whilst its apart.
