Hi.
Currently im running windows 7 HP (x64)...
However, ive got some software which only runs in 32bit.
Win7 pro or ultimate comes with xp mode.. from what i gather its a 32bit compatability mode.
Whats the cheapest way of upgrading to pro or ultimate?
legally.
or is there any standalone software which will allow me to run 32software?
cheers
Callum

You can get upgrades but they aren't cheap, i think the Ultimate 7 upgrade is around £100 (Retail copy is £150, Prof. is around £120).
If the software isn't too demanding you could always run XP in a virtual machine (allows you to run another OS on your desktop), using a virtual host like VMWare or Virtual Box (which is free). Piss easy to get going - install the host, then setup a new VM (Virtual Machine), insert your XP cd and go through the installation.
Obviously you can just get a dodge copy of Win 7 etc.

My win 7hp, is already an upgrade from vista which was around 100 sheets iirc.
Was hoping there would be a small fee say <£50 to upgrade to pro
