you can leave the belts in for mot but theres no point if youve not got the seats

I was told by an MOT station if belts were fitted then seats must also be in.
Basically he said if one was fitted then the other needed to be fitted also., As Sean said belts need to come out too.

its changed now, if youve got seats then you need the belts obviously. but if youve got no seats then the belts arent considered to be seat belts so arent testable

The seat belts combined probably weigh the same, if not more than the seats. If your going to do one, do the other as well.
