my standard corsa horns rubbish so thought id try one that i removed from my mates car, when linked directly to a battery it sounds amazing but once its wired to the corsa it sounds terrible

any ideas?

Put a multimeter over the battery and compare the readings found there to the readings if you take from the horn plug. By money is on the volts, amps and all that electrical good stuff is lower at the horn plug than at the battery.
