Earth and live. Its that simple. I guess you want it to go off when you turn your engine off? Take a feed from an ignition live wire and wire it to the fan then wire the earth from the fan to another earth point or wire and it should come on when you turn your ignition on and go off when you turn it off.

My fan switch wasnt working when doing my emissions and it got a bit hot so we unplugged the fan switch and bridged it with a paperclip so it stayed on constantly.
