since yesterday my desktop icons are not selectable after start up, whole desktop freezes and only alternative is to use task bar etc..
i have tried using spyware software etc, cleaning registers etc but no good..
before i complete reboot, i just wanted to ask if anyone knows what i can do???
ive tried googling it..but there are far too many sugguestions about chaning power option to re boot etc...

I've noticed, the odd times I use Win7, its MSN Messenger which is causing the whole thing to grind to a halt... Try going into TaskManager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and killing msmsgs
