any ideas people? Checked all fuses. What number is the mfd and heater on tho? Where are they earthed?

Dash loom has a few earthing points, if you unscrew the console screws from inside the middle two heater vents (turn them past the end of travel to spin it round and expose the screw - of you can also poke the drive through the slats) and you'll be able to lift the MFD up and see if you have power on that loom.
You could also try removing the near side kick panel and reseating the multi-plug where the dash loom meets the body.

ok thanks, ive been playing around with wiring in the engine bay, hiding a few bits and thought some of the wiring or maybe theres an earth that is connected to the mfd/heater, and maybe ive fucked it up.
