first thought was, it looked a lot like traktor, then i read the description 
Looks amazing, but you could just run traktor on a touch screen

Emulator's been out a while and it's just a front end that has bigger buttons for use on touch screens. There's been similar apps for the iPhone like iOSC which uses the OSC protocol instead of midi (as used with Emulator) and allows to create your own interface.
The display panel is interesting though, i'm assuming it's a touch membrain (could be possible that it's camera tracked but i doubt it's the usual rear mounted camera tracking infared) on the glass/plexi and then projected on to from the rear (the projector would be mounted below the panel).
Loads of info about making your own though, nuigroup.org is a decent site.
