what would you say was best piper cross cone filter or de-restricted airbox and k and n panel??

K&N panel filter with de-restricted airbox, and take the side bit off. It might take some persuading to take off depending on the year the car was made, some come off easy and some don't. Mine was a '99 and it was glued on, but nothing a big screwdriver and a hammer couldn't fix.

Derestricted Airbox
I've fairly recently replaced my old Cone Filter with a derestricted Airbox running an OE paper filter - it runs so much better now, pulls a lot better than it ever did with the cone, and still sounds the same. Will be keeping it like this now, MAY get an aftermarket Panel Filter one day.
