Ive thought about that, but an with an xe I wont be as bothered about anything breaking anything in the engine whilst booting it lol, whereas with a let i wouldnt want to risk breaking anything whilst driving it as it would be way more expensive to fix lol

mild cams and exhaust system, stock xe manifold is good for about 200bhp anyway, other than that headwork, carbs, etc

from QED website:
Q42H The mildest camshaft in our range; quite able to be fitted to standard engines without the need for further mechanical modifications. When used with a suitably modded ECU this cam helps produce 185 bhp. Also an easily fitted cam to use with carburrated engines, producing 190+ bhp.
Q38H A more vigorous hydraulic profile not liked by Motronic ECU's, but if fuelled correctly, with a standard induction system can produce c200 bhp. With carbs or throttle bodies 210+bhp is easily achieved. Possible to fit without piston mods, but pistons with deeper valve pockets are required for optimum cam timing.
those 2 profiles can be ground from your stock xe cams iirc £190a pair +vat/postage
or£190+vat/postage each from fresh blanks
i may be bale to get hold of reground newman cams too, but wont be able to get a price yet. just sorting trade accounts at moment.
manifold the stock one is good for 200bhp tbh, but if adament then ashely manifold, or keep an eye out for a sbd/tony law manifold. anything from £160-£300 ish
