I'm looking into a UPS in the near future. The APC ones we use at work will only power shut the server down rather than keep it up as long as possible. I'd rather it kept the box running as generally the power is only off for a few mins and then back on.

All down to costs, i've recently bought an apartment and a new car so skint.
