Mum's PC downloaded 5 new updates last night then when htey came to turn it on, its been stuck on a black loading screen showing the Windows logo and " Applying update 217 of 217 (\registry\machine\COMPONENTS\...)

Any ideas?

I've turned it on and off and that's as far as my Tech support level goes...........

I think I've sorted it; hang on.................


He left it since dinnertime with that screen showing


Amazing; My tech level is better than I thought, I've got it working again!!! In less than 5mins
