isit just a case of unbolting everything? or is there other things to do / reomove to make the car mot compliant?

Yeh, just unbolt everything, you'll also need to take out the C pillar to get to the bit at the top. But it's relatively straight forward, theres a big bolt like 21mm?? under the seat too.

I didn't bother with the part under the c pillar, just take the rest of it out and it'll be fine
