I have a budget of around £500... I'd like it to have a hdmi socket to plug into my tv, a large hard drive, decent graphics card... although the main game i'll play on it would be football manager it would definately have to suit playing that!! There my basic requirements, I just want the best I can get for that sort of money!
Cheers in advance

A Dell like that will do the job prefectly.
The Samsungs are getting good reviews on here recently but a 17" laptop is mahoosive.

I went for the R730 in the end as I dont need the NVIDA chipset in the R780 as dont use it for gaming.
Decent screen as well, LED backlit, HD 16:9. High def content looks superb.
Not as well specced as my Vaio was but this is about a 1/3 of the price with about 80% of the functionality IMO.
