It's on my c20xe Corsa and the ecu is in the drivers side foot well I want to reset it as it's running badly idle and the revs keep dropping and revving itself up so I want to see if any fault codes come up

To reset it you leave the battery disconnected, think its something like 10 minutes. Maybe best leaving it for half an hour to be safe. Try a search though, plenty topics on it im sure

Yeah just disconnect for an hour or so. Remember, when you connect and start it up, dont rev it for a couple of minutes, let the ECU find what its own idle is.
