Puma developed a misfire in the wet, 4-5krpm under load.

Exhibits itself as a sudden and complete loss of power, will pick up again then die completely again momentarily.

Thinking about coil/leads but I've nothing to swap on to it so before I go spend money thought I had see if anyone else has ideas.

I've got the exact same sort of problem and it's stumped me for months now. Only does it now and again, been doing it pretty much since I got it but has got gradually worse.

Lambda seemed to sort it but after a couple of hundred miles it went back to its usual self, same story with ICV. I'm changing the injectors soon so hopefully that makes a difference.

You'll know yourself it could be a million and one things, best getting some diagnostic equipment on it. That's my next step anyway.

Biggest problem is coil packs breaking down, seen a few coolant core plugs (in the spark plug chamber) leak and cause coolant to go onto the plugs and leads. Also had a few ht leads breaking down. Some garages replace the full lot but i'm not a fan of that! My money is on the coil pack breaking down underload (seen it loads - I'm an ex ford trained techy)

Don't go for the cheapest neither they don't last. Genuine ones came down in price and i'd recommend going genuine tbh.
