every time I engage the clutch it squeeks and it is really starting to get on my nerves now, is it on the way out or can I oil it somewhere any help appreciated thanks very much, Paul...

get a can of grease.
it's the spring on the pedal.

Every Vaux has a squeeky clutch, my dad has had 4 vaux all with squeeky clutches, as does mine.

seriously, put down a dust sheet for drips and give it a god greasing, then leave it to drip on the sheet for an hour.
while greasing constantly press up and down the pedal.
my pedal is for winners now!

so where exactly does it need greasing lads ? I am no expert but I am sure I can handle a job like this

follow the pedal in question up with your hand and you will find a spring. spray that.
in fact, fcuk it, spray the whole mechanism up there.

My nova did that plenty of oil and a spot of grease did the trick also grease the cable under the bonnet and the clutch linkage i did that and it went quiet Lee
