hi i really need some advice i recently took my car for an mot at nationwide autocentre and then got told they had to take it down the road to another garage who are in fact con-artists (chertsey road service station woking surrey) and they told me all of a sudden the revs shot up to 4500 rpm and wouldnt budge so they drove it back basically revving the tits off it so i went to pick it up and had a argument with them they then said its 99.9% gonna be an airleak so i started looking and found the problem some twat put a knife through the throttle body pipe and now it leaks a bit of oil the cats got a rattling sound to it but it was a new cat last month due to mot failing so i came home put new pipe on it and it run better then ever before the next morning i had booked the car for an mot else where so went to start it and all it keeps doing is misfiring??would the test station(s) of broke something? any ideas please help many thanks

U could just have a dodgey lead mate my old corsa all of a sudden started misfiring I grabbed a spare lead off my mate vectra and it was fine.

first check and make sure u have spark and fuel and go from there
