the amp protection light will not go off, i took all the wires off and reconnected now if i remore the rca cable it stays on also all the speakers it stays on i have done everything but it wont work any ideas ??

yes it goes from the batt. and all correct i think it may be earth as its only taped to bare metal.

mate the earth needs to be bolted down to metal. thats why the protection light is on

fit an eyelet to the earth cable and undo any small bolt you can find that goes into the body ( i used the rear seat mounting point) . also check where your power and remote cables come into the amp, nake sure no stray copper strands are poking out by insulating most of the end with black insulation tape
