As above really, my iPad and iPhone just say cannot get mail etc?It has worked fine before with activesync

Just wondered if it was widespread or just me tried adding my account to another phone and the same thing

it's because hotmail doesnt push, it fetches

It does push its setup with exchange account and active sync

Try it as POP3

pop3.live.com, SSL port 995 should work

I am sure it will work via POP, but I need active sync really as i use windows live mail and a quite a few pcs through the day so need the mail folder all synced. Been using it like this for months and then its suddenly stopped working?! bloody annoying

Tried recreating it using m.hotmail.com as the exchange server, or even leaving the server blank and leaving it to authenticate ?

Looks to me asthough they have changed the address or something.
I used these to setup last year:

Tried setting up on my dads a minute ago and it accepted all settings etc ok then wouldn't download mail or folders or anything.

Seems to do it sporadically every now and again. Google Apps is the same.

mine works fine since i set it up in July, no issues with it pushing mail down to several folders

Mine did it yesterday evening, but it seems to be working again now. The longest Hotmail's been off for me is a couple of hours.

My Google Apps one has done it a few times as has the work one - suggests that it might be my iPhone throwing a wobbly?

I am starting to think its something to do with Spain or my account this is a different phone to when it happened before and my ipad is doing exactly the same.

mine, dads and ipad have starting working again.. weird!
EDIT stopped again and windows live mail is doing the same...

Just tried adding a different hotmail account to my iPhone and that works perfect :boggles:
