when cranking over it backfires through the inlet i.e tb ive checked the timing and its lined up correctly so am confused any idea before i buy another engine cos it doing me nut in not having it running since november wasted 6months tax n mot plus 80quid a month insurance

crank was out 180 degree's some how belt must of slipped while ive been cranking it over i can get it to start but it missfires
