Need help with a small problem my PC has.
Purchased 2007 from Dell with Vista, ran like shite the whole time so eventually i wiped the HD and did a fresh install with Windows7.
All works splendidly but every now and again, when computer has gone to "sleep" or away mode when inactive for a period of time it will not awaken itself. Usually just a movement on the mouse or tap a key and fans will woosh and screen with light up back to where i was. Problem occurs and no amount of button pressing will bring it back to life. So all you can do is a force shut down via the on/off switch.
I have found this message in my resoloution centre:
Is this difficult to do? Baring in mind i know jack shit about PCs but am quite a techy person so pick stuff up fast.
Also annoyed @ Dell for speccing half my machine as 32 with the other half 64 causing me all the issues ive encountered over the years

reset the machine, press del about 2 seconds after it boots up to get into the BIOS. (i'm assuming it's del, could be F2 or something else, usually says on the boot screen though)
disable anything in there that looks like it could be away mode

fingers crossed, there probably a few things in the BIOS that would make the machine run quicker too but there's no point fucking around with stuff you don't know if it's working ok now
