What a wild and crazy day at Cars and Coffee. It all started as I was driving to Cars and Coffee and spotted a Tucker on the freeway. It's not every day you see a Tucker, much less on the freeway mixed in with your Saturday morning traffic. I right away knew that he was headed to Cars and Coffee and he is an irregular regular (if that makes sense.)

Then as I first approached the corral at Cars and Coffee I was greeted by a weird three wheeled thing. It was apparently a T3 Motion R3, which is a three-wheeled electric car with a top speed of 70mph and a range of up to 100 miles.

Close to the R3 sat a Ferrari 250 Series II cabriolet, a Ferrari 250MM, and a Siata Torino. It's very rare to see one of these cars much less all of them at the same show sitting within a few feet from each other. It was my first time seeing a Series II cabriolet as I'm used to only seeing the Series I. The Siata is another irregular regular which I really want to know more about. While the 250MM is regularly driven up to our little gathering though it is usually quite dirty. This was the first time I had seen it shined up. The car is driven up from around the La Jolla area.

I walked around the lot and saw your typical Mustangs, Corvettes, Hot Rods, Customs, modern Ferraris, NSX's, Muscle Cars, Porsches, etc. But when I came back to the corral I was once again surprised. There was an Alaska registration wearing TVR Tuscan S sitting right beside the R3 electric car. It was awesomely tacky and crappy looking all at the same time. However, the cars that everyone was ignoring but caught my attention where a Lamborghini Jarapa and a Ferrari 250 Lusso which looked like it was driven quite frequently. It was my first sighting of a Jarapa outside of a book. I have to say I like the Espada more, though the 400GT is my favorite of all the classic Lambo's. The Lusso was great to see in driven condition, I'm way too used to seeing them in Concours quality.

Now if it seemed that the day couldn't get any crazier. We were quite wrong, within minutes the nice pleasant weather we had been having turned into a crazy windstorm. Leaves, twigs and sand started blowing everywhere. I've never seen Cars and Coffee empty out so quickly and so early. The lot was pretty much deserted by 8:15am.

I'm really looking forward to this weekends show. Hopefully it's full of surprises once again.

As always here are this weekends pics of the pics:

I'm sorry, but how can you call a TVR, tacky and crappy looking, when all of your American cars come with extra large wheels, lazy V8's, and Chrome from the 70's ?

Also...
What is this ?

Is it a MX-5/ Miata (which ever you call them?)

A tuned 1.7 litre engine.

Search Pitcrew MX-5 on Google Images, that particular one is actually linked.

Is the MX-5 plate meant to read like Big Gay Al saying "super"?
