looking at buying a car that has already been fitted with a cat1 alarm.the car is more expensive than planned but the seller said i will get cheaper insurance due to the alarm
Im with CIS do they decrease ur premuim if the car has a cat1 alarm?
the car is a group 7 VTR

i was with CIS for 2 years up until last month and they never gave me a diacount for a cat 2 alarm+immobiliser. not sure about a cat 1 though

i asked them when i had mine fitted and no discount for cat 1 or 2, so i just got a more expensive non approved one

go with nfu mutual, give good discounts on alarms, bout £150ish for cat1 insurance on 1.4 16v with 1 claim, £1477

liverpool victoria are great (well for me) £1270 fully comp in my own name, 18 2moro(thats wen the premium starts)

I had a cat 1 fitted two months ago.....they basicly laughed and and told me to forget it...i wont be staying with them in july...im changing to tesco.....£150 cheaper
By the way my insurance is £380 on a 1.4 8v with 3 points 1 accident and 1 extra driver!!!!
