This hapPened on way back from PVS.
No warning, just started hearing alot of scraping, I puled over in the heavy rain on side of m25, to have a look.
The wheel is scraping on the arch, alot. Yes the ca is lower but always has been, its definatly not that.
One wheel is against arch, the otherside I can fit my fingers between arch and wheel easily!
Wheel bolts tight. took centre caps off, have some metal filings there. What do you think problem is?

Sounds like the bearing has collapsed.

I'm glad you said this. This was first thing I said at the side of the road, and should be cheap to fix!

Are you sure you did the big CV nut up correctly?
But otherwise the bearing has died and just taken up the slack in the CVs, Check the hub for damage when you remove the old bearing.

90% chance you will need a new hub and 100% guarantee this was passenger side without u mentioning it?

Ohh rear, I presumed front.
New stub axle, new bearing obviously, maybe a new drum if its done that much.
Unfortunately its most likely down to poor maintenance
