Also what radiator have you got?
It should go up to 100c before standard fan kicks in.

mines not a redtop but i had a lot of trouble getting the fan to work altogether. after practically a whole new system, all checks and still no joy. i wired a switch upto where gsi's have fog switches. i knock it on when it gets over 96/98 and switch it off when its less than 95ish

I was thinking if it would be a gd idea to wrap my exhaust manifold as it sits close to the rad . And I heard ya can uses the rad off a cav and would run cooler because its bigger has anyone els used one be4 ?

does your fan actually kick in though, i remember mine didnt work as it wasn't getting enough volts, we found out eventually
manifold will warm your rad, obv more so when stationary but even still fan should boot in
mates 1.5'd didnt kick in til about 105

So lets get this straight, no thermostat and the fan running constantly and it gets up to 100degrees?
Rad may well be blocked, that or your engine is running extremely lean to get it that hot.
